News outlets report that the explosion happened around noon at the Fountains Plaza in Plantation.
The blast blew out windows at the LA Fitness and the building next door was also completely destroyed.
"We're still searching the collapse area for any leftover victims", Gordon said, "but at this point we believe we've accounted for everyone".
Multiple fire departments - including those from Plantation, Broward, Davie, and Lauderhill - have all responded to the scene. There were no known fatalities immediately after the explosion.
She said all four of her security cameras had blank images and she feared the extent of the damage.
