She answered, "I say nearly every day that the president is involved in a criminal cover-up".
"We never criticize a president of the United States when we are overseas", Pelosi said during an interview with CNN's Manu Raju at the Peter G. Peterson Foundation's annual Fiscal Summit.
The President lashed out at Pelosi over the "prison" comments last Thursday in an interview with Fox News, calling her a "nasty, vindictive, disgusting person".
"My stock goes up every time he attacks me, so what can I say, but let's not spend too much time on that because that's his victory, the diverter-in-chief, the diverter-of-attention-in-chief".
Later in the segment, Trump circled back to Pelosi - this time accusing her of a criminal act for opposing the construction of a southern border wall.
Eden Hazard's two possible shirt numbers at Real Madrid
I'm not just saying it today because I've signed here, it's been that way since I was a kid. "I want to win many titles with Real Madrid , in this shirt".
"I think she's a disgrace", Trump said "I actually don't think she's a talented person, I've tried to be nice to her because I would have liked to have gotten some deals done".
He said that he would "maybe" consider reporting the contact to the police.
Pelosi responded, "When we have conversations in our caucus they stay in our caucus. You still end up in the court ... if you want to go down that path", Mrs. Pelosi said. Do people think there's some impeachable offences that the President committed? Yes. "Are they criminal? Many people think they are". "They should begin impeachment proceedings". "If now isn't the time ... what is the bar, what is the line that we're waiting to be crossed for an impeachment inquiry, and so far it doesn't seem like there is one".
Still, Pelosi stopped short of saying Trump's remarks justified impeachment.
Even though Pelosi has been reluctant to initiate impeachment hearings against Trump, she has accused him of engaging in an illegal effort to cover up his efforts to obstruct special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
