The restrictions saw Google announce it would no longer give Huawei full access to its Android operating system for future devices. Huawei also confirms the Android Q beta is running on the Mate 20 Pro, a device released in 2018.
The United States government blacklisted Huawei in mid-May, banning the company from working with American firms and using their solutions for the development of new models.
In its official statement which was shared on Twitter as well as in a blog post, it said: "All Huawei smartphones and tablets will continue to receive security patches and Android updates".
Additionally, most of the companies that provide consulting services to Huawei are based out of the U.S., including IBM and Accenture.
For all Huawei smartphones and tablets, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram apps can be downloaded and used as normal.
