With Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar out due to a small labrum tear in his right shoulder, NY called up Wade from its Triple-A affiliate, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, ahead of Monday's game against the Tigers.
Before the game, the Yankees put Stanton on the injured list with a strained left biceps and Andujar on the injured list with a strained right shoulder.
It was announced after Monday's 3-1 win over the Tigers that Andujar his a small labrum tear in his shoulder and that he will basically be shut down for two weeks. Andujar hit.297 with an OPS of.855 last season, becoming an important part of the lineup. NY recalled outfielder Clint Frazier from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to replace Stanton on the major league roster.
LeMahieu has four hits in eight at-bats to go along with two walks in the early part of the season. While no decisions have been made, he added that season-ending surgery is a possibility.
