One of these phones will have a clamshell design - vertically folding, Razr-style - while the other will fold outwards, just like Huawei's Mate X. The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e come with a single punch hole for the camera, while the Galaxy S10+ features two front-facing cameras that reside under the display. Samsung plans to release the vertical folding phones by the end of this year or early next year and is now using the model to fine-tune the design. It may feature a second external display, like the Galaxy Fold, depending on how customers respond to the Fold.
With the $1,980 Galaxy Fold set for a limited, luxury launch on April 26, it's hard to gauge how much demand there will be for these expensive devices. Like the Mate X, there's no extra screen and it's thinner than the Galaxy Fold.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold packs other top-of-the-line specifications like 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, as well as a total of six cameras and two batteries with a combined capacity of 4,380mAh.
SpaceX's Crew Dragon docks at ISS
This is the first of four test flights that will prove Dragon 2's readiness for manned flights, NASASpaceflight.com reports. The US government is also eager to have the ability to fly to the ISS without buying seats on Russian Soyuz capsules.
One thing which is sure is that Samsung is determined to push foldable designs into the mainstream. The first device has a clamshell form factor which could be similar to Motorola's patented full-screen flip phone design. "Samsung is ready to support all 5G frequencies - not only sub-6 [GHz], but millimetre wave as well", Koh said when asked about the readiness of the Indian market for 5G devices.
Samsung is also considering incorporating in-display fingerprint sensors in its folding phones, according to reports. Read ahead to know more about the new offer on the Samsung Galaxy S10. "S10 brings the world's first "Infinity O" screen on AMOLED", Mohandeep Singh, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, told reporters here.
