There have been previous rumors about the new Pixels, with an alleged launch date in the spring, but now we're also getting details on some of the phones' specifications. Now, a fresh report from 9to5Google, which cites a source familiar with the [upcoming Google Pixel] phones, confirmed that their names - Google Pixel 3a and the Google Pixel 3a XL and "are indeed the go-to-market names for these two devices". They will sport Active Edge squeezable sides, the Titan M security chip, and eSIM.
For the rest, it is the 3a that we have the most information on.
Swansea City 2 Manchester City 3: Controversial Aguero victor completes comeback
It was a dire situation that left City in danger of a repeat of last season's embarrassing FA Cup exit at Wigan. Championship side Millwall host Premier League side Brighton on Sunday.
The chipset in question is a Snapdragon 670 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. With a 5.6-inch size and 2220×1080 resolution, that is nearly on par with the Pixel 3. Details for the Pixel 3a XL are still incomplete in comparison.
The report says the 3a will come with 4GB of RAM and run on a Snapdragon 670 processor, much less powerful than the Pixel 3's Snapdragon 845 but nearly certainly robust enough for what you actually use a phone for. Early reports suggested those phones would feature LCD screens as a way to keep the cost of the devices down. The 3,000 mAh battery is only slightly better than the Pixel 3 even.
You'll also find two speaker grills on the bottom frame flanking the USB-C port instead of front-firing ones, and to the delight of a lot of you reading this, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack up top (something the Pixel 3 + 3 XL lack).
