It's a consensus, four groundhogs predict an early Spring this year

Phil's handlers said that the groundhog has forecast an early spring. Punxsutawney Phil, America's top groundhog is a resident of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Legend has it that if the groundhog sees his shadow on February 2, he will go back into hibernation, and there will be six more weeks of winter. The following year brought the first official trek to Gobbler's Knob to get Phil's prediction.

According to reports, this year marks the 19 time in the past 133 years that the famed groundhog has predicted an early spring outcome.

Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son will, as the name suggests, follow Phil Connors Jr., who falls into the same time loop as his father before him, repeating a single day over and over again.

Members of Punxsutawney (puhnk-suh-TAW'-nee) Phil's inner circle revealed spring is coming early.

Phil has a notoriously low record of getting his predictions right with less than 20 percent success in the last few years. Most people associate Groundhog Day with the Christian holiday of Candlemas Day (known as the Presentation of the Lord), which is also celebrated on February 2nd.

They are supposedly the only people who can understand what he says. It is the second Groundhog Day trek to Gobbler's Knob for the family.
