Officially titled Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), the movie will see Robbie reprising her role as the mayhem-causing, hammer-wielding villain for the second time. In the eighth DC film, Harley Quinn must team up with superheroines Huntress (Winstead), Black Canary (Smollett-Bell), and Renee Montoya (Perez) to save Cassandra Cain (Basco) from the crime lord Black Mask (Gregor).
Ali Wong, Chris Messina, Derek Wilson, Matthew Willig, Charlene Amoia, and Robert Catrini co-star. I'm also just excited that [director Cathy Yan] is a woman and she's Asian.

Harley Quinn gained serious popularity after she returned to the spotlight in 2016 flick Suicide Squad. A Suicide Squad sequel to be directed by Gavin O'Connor is also in active development, but Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's Harley Quinn Vs The Joker romance movie and David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens now appear to be on the backburner.
But that wasn't all, as a sneak peek teaser video has also been released, which gives a first look at a number of characters.
