The cast of the movie also includes a return for Michael Keaton's Vulture from 'Homecoming, ' and Jake Gyllenhaal will play new baddie Mysterio; although the actor recently hinted that there may be more bad guys for Spider-Man to fight this time around. In the comics, the most popular version of Mysterio was a special effects artist named Quentin Beck, who used his bag of tricks to fool people (including Spider-Man) into thinking he has some kind of magical powers. Also, everyone is still hot for Aunt May (Marisa Tomei).
Spider-Man: Far From Home, directed by Jon Watts, hits Australian cinemas on July 4. The first clue here was in the shot in Venice where we see Peter's friend Ned and behind him, there is a banner that reads ASM 212. "And then he teams up your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and unfortunately has to make him become more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man". As said by Peter's friends, Mysterio does look like a combination of Iron Man and Thor! The presence of Peter Parker and Nick Fury, who were both turned to dust by Thanos in Infinity War, suggests this may be set before the events of that film, making it another prequel in the vein of Ant-Man and The Wasp. And since this movie will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to debut after Avengers: Endgame, it's notable that we do not see Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark considering how much he was highlighted in Homecoming.
Transfer: Chelsea tell Real Madrid Hazard's price
Los Blancos are monitoring his situation as they look for potential replacements for Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. Real are also considering tabling bid for Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen.
Spider-Man: Far From Home opens July 5 in the USA, and July 4 in Australia. Plenty of familiar faces are also reprising their roles for the Spider-Man sequel. Apart from the old suit, we are shown the black "Stealth Suit" designed by Nick Fury in a blink-and-a-miss in the trailer. The Mysterio from comic books is a big-time Spidey villain and has been since the 1960s, a stuntman and FX guru who used illusions to commit crimes and ran afoul of the web-slinger.
The latest trailer for Far From Home lays out the basic plot for viewers. It could simply be a little nod to how similar these characters are to some of the classic Spider-Man villains referenced in the Easter eggs.
