The claim comes a day before Prince Mohammed's high-profile investment summit begins in Riyadh.
The crown prince has "now crossed a line and there has to be a punishment and a price paid for that", Corker said.
"We look forward to the results of the investigation being led by Turkey and we urge Saudi Arabia to implement its undertaking to participate openly and transparently in that investigation", he added.
"We are determined to find out all the facts".
Once close with the Saudi elites, Khashoggi fled the kingdom previous year in fear of possible prosecution.
The foreign ministers added: "We take note of the Saudi statement which gives their preliminary findings". Turkish police believe The Washington Post columnist was murdered and dismembered shortly after he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2; Turkish media have reported that a 15-man hit team was sent from Riyadh specifically for the assignment.
Khashoggi was 59 years old.
CNN aired surveillance footage on Monday showing a man in Khashoggi's dress shirt, suit jacket and trousers.
Saudi authorities would not confirm or deny the existence of the body double, but continue to insist the killing was unintentional, CNN reported.
