Authorities on Wednesday (Oct. 17) ruled the deaths of the parents of a missing 13-year-old Wisconsin girl as homicide, as the search for Jayme Closs, the missing girl, entered its third day.
"We have teams ready to respond at a moment's notice when a tip comes in", Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said.
Authorities have said they believe Closs was home at the time of her parents' deaths.
Fitzgerald says his office hasn't received any tips that would lead deputies to continue the ground search.
Dozens of volunteers took part in a search Thursday for possible clues in the search for missing 13-year-old Jayme Closs.
There is no history of run-ins with law enforcement at the home, including no custody disputes, he previously said.
The couple, aged 56 and 46, were found shot dead in their family home at about 01:00 local (06:00 GMT) on Monday.

The blonde-haired, green-eyed teenager, who has been described as a "sweet", "quiet" and "loyal friend", wrote that she would "feed the hungry and give the rest to the poor", Diane Tremblay, superintendent of the Barron Area School District, said Tuesday during a news conference. When authorities arrived at 1 a.m., the report said officers found, "one male down, multiple rounds spent" and the door had been kicked in. As of Monday, police wouldn't say much about the crime scene, just that the weapon used was a gun. "You know you got to be sure your doors are locked all the time now, I guess".
But it didn't turn up anything of value, Fitzgerald said. But no one spoke directly to the dispatcher, Fitzgerald said.
Cops say they have since determined who it belonged to but have so far not identified the owner of the phone.
"It was just, "bang" and 'bang, '" Smrekar said. He added that he believes Jayme was present when her parents died. "We are also hopeful for the safe return of their daughter, Jayme, and are keeping her and the Closs family in our thoughts".
Jayme Closs is 5 feet tall, weighs 100 pounds and has green eyes and blond or strawberry blond hair, the sheriff's department said.
