**I received promotional items from Walt Disney World Resort and MomSelect in order to host the Disney Kids Preschool Playdate. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have a different opinion.**
We are big Disney fans and Disney World will always have a special place in my heart since that’s where my husband proposed…in front of Cinderella’s castle with the ring in a glass slipper. We have taken our kids to Disney several times and we are hoping to take them to Disney World soon! We can’t get enough Disney, so we were so excited when we were picked to host a Disney Kids Preschool Playdate!
We received a box full of supplies to help make our party magical! Once our package arrived, I quickly made some phone calls and decided the best time to throw the party was about 5 days later. So that didn’t give me a lot of time, but I quickly got to work and we ended up having a great party!
We started with everyone getting a crown. One one side it was a Sophia the First crown and on the other side it was a Jake and the Neverland Pirates hat. We had a good mix of boys and girls, so these were perfect! A lot of the kids dressed up as princesses, their favorite Disney characters, or had Disney themed shirts on.
Once everyone arrived, we read the book “My Very, Very Smelly Breath” which is a book from Banfield Pet Hospital. The book is a scratch and sniff book about dogs and their smelly breath. The kids loved it and were very entertained by the book and they enjoyed talking about why they should brush their teeth so they don’t have stinky breath too.
After the story, we had craft time. We were sent Tulip’s Puffy Paint and Aleene’s Tacky glue as well as everything we needed to make Disney Junior character puppets.
After the kids made their puppets, they were given the opportunity to be creative by making abstract animal art with construction paper, glue, and the puffy paint. That was a big hit!
Next came games and the kids loved the “Pin the Smile on Mickey” game. This was the perfect game for preschoolers!
We played a few other games, but the favorite game was where we hid animals inside Easter Eggs and hid the eggs for them to find.
The kids loved the prizes and everyone enjoyed the goody bags they got to take home. They also got to take home the plastic egg and animals they found in our “hunt”.
I think the thing everyone loved the most was the food! I made most of the food, but I also told everyone to bring a Disney themed food. We did this at our last Disney party and it was a huge hit! Everyone was so creative and brought some great Disney themed treats to go along with the Disney themed foods I had put together.
It was definitely a successful party and we are so thankful to all the wonderful sponsors!
