I can’t believe our sweet little Samantha is 4 months old. She is reaching a few milestones, yesterday she giggled for the first time! It melted my heart and was so cute! She has also learned to roll which just happened a week ago and happened really quick in just one day! She was on the floor on her back and then suddenly she rolled and was on her stomach. She hates tummy time so she then rolled back onto her back. Now she is rolling all over and I am amazed at how quickly she can suddenly move from one side of the room to the other.
Sammie loves to smile and is very social. She loves seeing new faces and of course has to smile and “talk” to them. She can really chatter when she wants to.
She still loves her mobile and is starting to become a little bit interested in toys. Her favorite is her sock monkey that her aunt gave her for Valentine’s Day. Her hands and blankets are what she most prefers to play with…meaning she loves to put them in her mouth. This entertains her for a long time, so that works for me! She is also starting to get out of the pacifier stage (which is just fine with us) and prefers to put her fingers in her mouth when she goes to sleep (which I’m not sure if I like that too much).
Her brothers are still so in love with her! Noah loves to climb into her crib (sometimes while wearing his Darth Vader mask) whenever she is having play time in it. She loves it! Tobin and Samantha have a very strong bond and I love seeing those two together…it just melts my heart!
Sammie is an awesome sleeper at night. She sleeps 8-10 hours straight, wakes up to eat, and then usually goes back to sleep for 2-4 hours. She still takes quite a few naps and usually only lasts for about an hour before she is ready for a nap. The last couple of days she has been trying to stay awake for longer and take longer naps, but today she was back to her short naps (and one long nap) and just an hour at a time of awake time.
Oh poor baby girl was diagnosed with RSV a little over a week ago and then it turned into Bronchiolitis. It was a very rough week and it was so hard to see her looking so miserable. We had to use a Nebulizer at home and are still using it before bedtime since she still sounds a little wheezy at night. It makes me so sad to see her with her little mask on, but I know that it helps her a lot so I’m grateful for it.
Samantha is so sweet and we are so grateful for her. I love dressing her in all of her cute clothes and even her brothers like to help pick out what clothes she should wear. We love her sweet nature and she is such a good baby. I can’t believe it was just a year ago that I was shocked to discover I was pregnant and now here we are with our 4 month old baby girl. I love seeing her grown and learn new things, but it also makes me a little sad that she is getting big so quickly. I wish she could stay little for longer since this is our last baby. So I am just trying to enjoy every day with her since I know she will grow quickly.
