HALO SleepSack – The Safer Way to Sleep

**I received a HALO SleepSack Swaddle to review free of charge in order to do an honest review. No other compensation was received. My thoughts are 100% my own and others may have different opinions.**

Having a baby is so exciting, but also nerve wracking. With every pregnancy and baby I feel like I learn so much more than I did with the previous. Now that I have had my third baby, I know many things that work great and things that don’t. I have also found some really great products that help curb my new baby anxiety. I am a worrier so with every baby, I am a bit of a mess. With my first I struggled with sleep because I constantly worried about him and felt like I had to watch him every second or something would happen. Fortunately, over the years I have learned about some amazing products that not only help ease my mind and allow me to sleep, but also keep my baby safe. HALO® SleepSack® is one of those products that makes me not so worried especially since I know it’s the safer way to sleep.

Loose blankets in the crib is a big danger since they can cover your baby’s face and interfere with breathing. The HALO® SleepSack® replaces those loose blankets and not only helps your baby sleep safer, but it also helps your baby sleep better. My favorite HALO products is the HALO® SleepSack® Swaddle. Its adjustable swaddle wrap immobilizes your baby’s arms to prevent the “Moro” or startle reflex. Here are some other great benefits of the HALO® SleepSack® Swaddle:

  • 2-in-1 adjustable swaddle that allows for swaddling arms in or arms out.
  • Use over regular sleepwear to take the place of loose blankets.
  • Recognized as “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
  • Inverted zipper for easy diaper changes.
  • Discontinue swaddling when the baby shows signs of rolling over or breaking out of the swaddle wrap

I was sent the Ladybug Microfleece HALO® SleepSack® Swaddle in newborn to review. It came at the perfect time since I had my baby girl at the end of October. When we brought her home, I was so excited to put her in it. At the hospital, I had a hard time trying to sleep because she kept getting out of her blankets and putting them over her face.

The SleepSack is so easy to use! You first put their arms in the arm holes and tuck their body and feet into the rest of it and zip it down. Then I tuck her arms to her side and wrap the first piece of fabric over her body and then I take the second one that has velcro on it and tighten it around her. She is now snugly wrapped, but her hips are free and not tucked tight. She can’t get out of the swaddle so I can rest assure that she won’t put anything over her face. My baby girl sleeps so well in her SleepSack Swaddle which means I sleep great too!

I love that the SleepSack has an inverted zipper. So when I need to changer her diaper during the night, I can keep her swaddled and just zip up the bottom to change her and this way I am less likely to wake her if she is sleeping. Another thing that I love about the SleepSack Swaddle is that it’s a 2-in-1 adjustable swaddle which means you can swaddle with the arms in or out. This helps with babies who do not like their arms tucked in and also helps when you are trying to transition to the SleepSack wearable blanket and stop swaddling. I love that the Swaddle comes in size newborn and small so that way I can keep my baby in it until she is ready to stop being swaddled.

I am constantly asked what baby items I recommend for new moms and my number one answer is always HALO SleepSack Swaddles. It’s not only safer for your baby and helps them to sleep better, but it gives you peace of mind. So whether you are shopping for yourself or for someone else, I highly recommend the HALO SleepSack.
