It’s Learning Resources 30th anniversary! In honor of their anniversary, they are offering a special, limited edition 30th anniversary version of one of their most popular items, the Pretend & Play Calculator Cash Register.

cash register

Learning Resources started making this Cash Register in 1995 and it remains one of their most popular products to do this day. I can see why! Not only is it a great way to teach your child about money, but it’s so much fun! It’s also solar powered and comes complete with real size currency (30 actual-sized pretend bills, 40 plastic coins), a pretend credit card, and an activity guide so you can get the most out of this toy.

My boys love playing store and playing with pretend money, so they were really excited to see this cash register. Tobin is learning about money at school right now, so this was a great way to implement his learning at home.

It’s great that the money is actual real size so Tobin is able to recognize the different coins and dollars. Now he can learn currency denominations and have fun handling the money.

The cash register has a calculator-like function so your child can learn to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

We have had so much fun playing with this cash register and as my boys start to learn more about money and math, we will be using this cash register a lot more for learning. The Learning Resources Pretend & Play® Calculator Cash Register is priced for $39.99 and we would highly recommend it.
